President Obama got a lot of attention for his Al Green-like vocal stylings at a recent Apollo Theater fundraiser, and he sang his heart out again at Tuesday’s White House blues concert with B.B. King and Mick Jagger. It’s all in good fun and makes for a great YouTube link, but what many people don’t realize is that this President is just one of several recent ones who can really put on a show, and did it at least once in front of a camera. Let’s take a look back at seven Americans who haven’t let being the commander-in-chief stop them from wowing audiences across the country.

1. Barack Obama
This clip from Tuesday’s concert proves that whether or not he likes it, our current President is finding out what it’s like to be that kid in the family who has to perform for his aunts at every holiday party. Luckily he’s got the strong voice and great taste in music to impress as a vocalist.

2. George W. Bush
There’s nothing like a state function to bring out a President’s artistic side, and once this photo op turned into a dance party, not only did Bush 43 start busting a move, he happily took on a drum solo to keep the party going. Whether it’s dance, percussion, or an improvisational jam session, the younger Bush’s past as an Andover cheerleader means he’s always comfortable in the spotlight.

3. Bill Clinton
Then-Governor Clinton appeared on The Arsenio Hall Show in 1992 to change his Presidential campaign and his image forever. Suddenly America had a major Presidential candidate playing Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” on a saxophone in sunglasses, and there was no looking back.

4. Ronald Reagan
Gaining fame as a dramatic actor before moving into politics, Ronald Reagan was also known to dabble in stand-up comedy, Soviet and otherwise, throughout his time in elected office. Here, during his time as Governor of California, Reagan trades zingers with legends of the comedy world at his own Dean Martin Roast.
